[frozen-assets] Re: freezing milk

 

Good afternoon,

Julie asked how long milk keeps after thawing.

I wish I could give an answer, but I've never had any spoil. The small jars hold a little over a cup. I squirt about a tbsp. into my cup before dripping coffee. Takes about 10-14 days to finish a small jar.

There's been no problem with the larger jars either. Thawed, I've refrozen some in a smaller jar, and am now finishing the first of a smaller jar. [I began using it after using the remainder left in the larger jar, about a week after thawing. Next time I'll refreeze both smaller jars.]

My guess is that it will keep for at least 14 days after thawing, probably longer.
