Really you dont know what foods are in/out, it is based on the individuals, and
can change. And most likely the new mom does not know yet either! Allot of
that is old wives tails (about what to eat, not eat) . I breast fed all 3 of mt
babies.. 2 for the 1st year, and 1 for 2 years. a great web site to share w/
the new moms is www.kellymom.com it is filled w/ easy to find information and
helpful tips for breast feeding. I would check to make sure of the family's
likes/dislikes and if they have any allergies or food sensitivities.

Subject: [frozen-assets] Meals for nursing mothers
At church, I am often contacted to prepare meals for new, nursing mothers. Since
I was unable to nurse my babies, I'm not sure what the restrictions are as far
as food goes. I have heard that onions, broccoli, etc. are out.
I am looking for ideas for meals that I can freeze ahead to give to the families
that they can just thaw and cook or bake. I'd also be interested in recipes for
meals that I can prepare fresh and just deliver to the family at dinnertime.
TIA,
Gracie
