I guess I would need to know: Are you using a camp stove? Are you cooking over a fire? Do you have any of those pie irons? These can make pizza sandwiches, pies anything with a filling you would like warm.
Do you have any cast iron dutch ovens, or frying pans? The dutch ovens with coals on the top and coals on the bottom are like cooking in a 350 degree oven.
We do civil war re-enacting and cook a lot of stews, and pies. Though you could also do casseroles in a dutch oven.
A dutch oven without the lid on over a fire with some grease in it can make dougnuts. All you have to use is bread dough (home-made or bought). After they are floating and both sides are cooked you throw them in a pie pan with what you want on the outside. We usually do cinnamon and sugar.
Oh and don't forget the fixin's for smores!

Theresa

We're heading camping for 3 days this weekend. We only do this once a year and I'd like to try some new things. Does anyone have some good ideas that will keep in a cooler for a couple days? I'm thinking I'll be freezing the items for day 2 and 3 to keep them fresh.
