It has been interesting reading about people wanting to cook rice in a pressure cooker or crockpot. I can see for large quantities that may be helpful but it would still need to be checked on, methinks.
The simplest way that I know to cook rice is to cook it in the microwave. Now before that I would have said in a ricecooker and I did it that way for years. But I have never had rice "fail" in the microwave whereas oddly enough I have in a ricecooker despite following cooking instructions to the letter.
I just follow the cooking instructions for rice in my microwave oven manual and about 11 minutes later I have my rice - no stirring, no rice sticking to the pot, no having to change dishes even to serve if I so choose - no stress! Just "set and forget".
Hope this helps,

PS As a new-ish member of th group, I love all the pulled pork recipes. My husband and I ate a lot of pulled pork at speedway race tracks when we visited the US six years ago and just love it! We'd never had it before (I have yet to encounter pulled pork here in Australia) and I am filing away the E-mails on the subject to try.
