Hello everyone
I just joined this group because I want to learn to freeze meals. I'm a busy mum of two, one 4yo and the other 5 months old. Hubby is busy working so cooking is mostly left with me. The 4yo goes to kindy every day and I'm hope looking after 5 month old till she's 1 then I plan to go back to work full time.
I find it getting harder to get dinner ready every night as my baby grows older. I want to spend quality time with her and instead of spending hours every day on cooking. So I want to try freezer cooking.
I don't have much idea about freezer cooking. So I hope someone can help me with following questions:
1. What freezer do I need? With the view of two daughters growing up and needing food as well how big a freezer will accommodate a family of four? Is a chest freezer better or vertical one good enough?
2. What containers do you use to freeze meals? I'm in Australia so if you can recommend brands and types I can see if I can find the products.
3. Any good tips or recipes for a family with babies/preschoolers?
4. I have a breadmachine, a food processor with a blender, a high pressure cooker. Any tips on utilizing these appliances to aid freezer cooking?
These are so far my questions. I know I can do my own research but with a wiggly 5-month old it's really hard to find time. So I would appreciate any advice/answers/suggestions from this group.
Thanks in advance.
