Judging from the few responses, I guess not too many folks do this. I have a cooking day planned where the majority of the dishes will be freezer to crock pot. My basic plan is to take our favorite recipes that would normally be thawed and cooked in the oven and just adapt (basically their size/shape) them to fit into my crock.
Some of these include Wild rice chicken, sausage and rice, chicken and broccoli (from OAMC by Wilson and Lagerborg), beef and pea pods (internet), lasagna, meatloaf (family recipes), whole fryers (sprinkled with packaged flavorings) and a few more.
I will let post how it goes. Thanks to those who responded! I appreciated knowing what does and does not work!
