I make crockpot soups all the time. Sometimes I use homemade broth (made
in CP) or sometimes purchase. If you find veggies more watery and not very
flavorful, just reduce the amount of liquid you use. Saute some of the
veggies first before adding to the pot. When I make soups, they are rarely
the same. I add a variety of spices depending on what the bulk of veggies
are.
I usually start with frozen veggies: vegetables I have cooked from
scratch or those that are leftover. I keep a large Tupper container in my
refrigerator freezer and add any vegetable leftovers from dinner, all varieties
go in the same container . Right now I have some leftover orange
cauliflower in the container and some leftover canned tomatoes that I seasoned. I do
not add any meat to this container. I freeze cooked meat separately in
small to large portions. Pam
