I love using my pressure cooker! How I do it:
Roast - usually about 3 lbs
onion thickly sliced
garlic minced Worcestershire Sauce
carrots - can use baby ones
celery - if I have it
potatoes- peeled & cut in basically 1/2 for the 2 of us I usually use 3-4
potatoes
I have a 6 qt. cooker. I put the onions on the bottom (sliced about 1/2"
thick) to keep the roast from sticking & for taste & to hold it up .
(I don't have a rack in this cooker, if u do just put them on the rack)
Next I put the roast on top of the onions, then put the garlic, &
Worcestershire sauce & any other spices u want. Next goes the celery &
carrots, I do the potatoes on the top but it really doesn't matter.
Put about 2c of water in pot , close up & cook about 20 min. per pound. I do
not have the kind where u select the pressure weight so I not sure what u
would put it on.
It smells up the whole house with the wonderful smell. It more or less falls
apart when it is taken out. I use out leftovers for BBQ. Yummy! Hope this
helps some. Martha.
