We have a salad bar every week and if our meal is not kid friendly - we serve hot dogs, PB&J, Grilled Cheese, Corndogs, etc. for the children.
One of the most popular is Chicken Rotel, english peas, garlic bread or Red Lobster biscuits
Another is Spaghetti or Lasagne; We have soup supper in cold weather and serve three different soups: Taco soup, potato soup, chicken noodle, chili, chicken with wild rice, veg. beef, broccoli - all these go over well and we always have potato and chicken noodle and then one of the others. We serve grilled cheese also with the soup
We serve ham, mac and cheese, pinto beans and slaw, cornbread
Meatloaf is really pretty easy - mix 10 lbs. at the time and cook in foil pans, serve with black eye peas, creamed potatoes, slaw, cornbread or roll
Salmon patties go over real well: 36 cans salmon, mix about 6 at a time with egg, little flour and cracker crumbs, delicious with instant potatoes and gravy, biscuits, english peas
Our adults also like breakfast for supper, with Breakfast casserole or scrambled eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, ham (either or all) grits, Pancakes or not.
Oven fried chicken is delicious, we use legs and thighs bought on sale, flour and fry in 1 inch oil in oven. Gravy, biscuits, instant potatoes, green beans
Tater Tot casserole, cream corn, green beans, slaw, cornbread
Chicken pot pie is easy and well received
Taco stack plate is good and easy, everybody fixes their own.
Breaded chicken tenders is a favorite of kids, we serve both french fries and instant potatoes, gravy, biscuits and green vegetable
We serve simple desserts: sheet cakes, banana pudding, peach cobbler, chocolate chip cookies, oreo dessert, strawberry shortcake
Jello and applesauce go well for children and adults
5 cup salad (mandarin oranges, drained, cocoanut, min. marshmallows and sour cream and chopped pecans)
Pineapple salad (cream cheese, crushed pineapple, drained, english walnuts, cool whip)
strawberry or blueberry congealed salads
