When I can get ground beef at a good price I stock up and brown it with garlic, onion , salt and pepper. I drain it and put it in freezer bags, cool in the fridge and then freeze. It's perfect for casserols and pasta dishes. For pasta I put the frozen beef in a sauce and heat, for casseroles I defrost. I never half cook meat. I;ve done this for 30years and what a time saver.
