WAC? You do just about what I do as a single person. I want to recommend
another kind of container that works well for me for casseroles and potpie
fillings and other meals you will be reheating in your Corningware
casserole, and that's those little square freezer containers that show up in
the canning section of Walmart, etc., every summer. The half-pint size fits
those small, square Corningware casseroles *perfectly.* I have a bunch of
those that I picked up either new at Walmart or used at Goodwill, and they
stack in my freezer in a very efficient manner and are practically
indestructible (except for a tendency for the little tabs on the lids to
break off, which does *not* render them unusable). If you can't find the
half pint size, you can use the pint size, fill them halfway, freeze them,
then pop your meal out and bag it.
I also use sandwich bags to freeze portions of lots of things and corral
them in gallon freezer bags. This keeps my freezer tidier and also lets me
reuse the freezer bag.
I'm not overly fond of Gladware, either. Too much wasted space in the
freezer because of the odd sizes, and they don't fit my casseroles <g>.
