What about boiling some hamburger and freezing? I buy hamburger in bulk,
boil in my pasta pot and keep using the water over and over again until it
is done. I package the hamburger in 2 cup portions (equaling 1 lb) and
stack in my freezer. It can be use for tacos, spaghetti, soup, etc. I then
put the "broth"
in the refrigerator over nite, skim off the suet for the birds and then the
broth can be used for soups.
Same principle can be used with chicken. I also buy ham on sale, cube up for
casseroles and put the bone in the freezer for soup.
Dorette
(whose college son only eats french fries, cereal, peanut butter and
crackers, juice and milk.....sigh)
