Mandarin Style Beef Tips
3-4# bottom round roast, cut into 1" cubes, all visible fat removed
Sauce: 1/4 C. soy sauce
1/4 C. orange marmalade
2 T. catsup
1/8 t. onion powder (optional)
1/8 t. garlic powder (optional)
1/8 t. celery powder (optional)
Place beef in crockpot. Combine sauce ingredients, pour over beef, and toss to coat beef.
Cook on medium until beef is fall-apart tender, approx. 4 hours.
To freeze: Divide into serving size portions, place in sandwich size zipper bags, and freeze on baking sheets. When solid, place in large Ziploc freezer bags, label, and return to freezer.
To serve: Place in microwave-safe container and heat on High until heated through.
My Notes: Any roast you prefer will do. I prefer the bottom round because of it's leanness. Timing will vary depending on your crockpot. I don't always use the optional ingredients; vary it to suit your family.
