[frozen-assets] Re: Can you freeze raw onions?

 

Yes! I freeze raw onions all the time. It always seems that I will use 1/2 an onion, then forget about the rest. So, I started chopping the remainder and freezing. They are great to use in cooking. Two things to remember:
1. Double bag them, or your whole freezer will wind up smelling like onion! LOL! (Ask me how I know!)
2. The onions will not be crisp. They are perfect for cooking and putting into things, but you wont want to use them on a salad or anything.
