I freeze steaks in marinade a lot - I personally like them better that way. With your sales I would freeze the steaks in marinades and do some of the breasts that way, and also maybe cook some up (either grilled or in your crockpot and shredded or baked/cut up, etc.) to freeze for quick meal starters later.
My all time favorite freezer cooking cookbook is Fix, Freeze, Feast by Lindsay Tcaksik (not sure on that spelling, it's really odd) and Kati Neville. I have nearly every freezer cookbook on the market (yes, I'm slightly addicted!) and that is my favorite. I'm fast becoming a fan of Don't Panic - Dinner's in the Freezer also.

Subject: [frozen-assets] where do you get recipes?
It has been a long time since I have done any cooking ahead. I still try to make multiples of our favorite meals but I would like to go beyond that. I had tons of recipes....before my computer crash and now that I am going to try to get back into it I realize I have lost them all....even the bookmarks of my favorite places.
Any good suggestions that I should get from the library? or good websites?
Our local grocery store has sirloin tip steaks really cheap this week and boneless, skinless chicken breast so I am hoping to stock up and make some meals. Any suggestions? Does anyone know if you can buy the steak and freeze them in the marinade like the breasts and maybe they would be more tender when you cooked them.
Thanks!!
