Here is my pulled pork recipe:
1 Boston Butt pork roast
1 onion, cut thinly into rings
1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Barbecue sauce, (size depending on roast
size)
I do not use crock pots because I don't care for the taste of the finished
product, therefore I slow cook in black enamel roasters. I have 4 different
sizes. I also use a West Bend Slow Cooker, but it is NOT a crock pot with a
ceramic liner.
Place the sliced onion in the bottom of the black enamel roaster. Place the
Boston butt on top of the onion.
Set the oven for 300º and roast for 3-4 hours, depending on how large your
pork roast is. Cook until it is very tender and can be pulled apart with 2
forks.
Pull apart with 2 forks when really tender. Do not remove the onions or the
broth that has cooked out of the pork roast. Mix it in the meat after it has
been pulled apart.
Add whole bottle of BBQ sauce. I like Sweet Baby Ray's because I like a
sweeter sauce. Mix into the pulled pork.
Place the lid back on the roaster and cook with the Barbecue sauce for
another hour or so in the same 300º oven.
Enjoy pulled pork on rolls with coleslaw or your favorite condiments.
