When I make lasagna I never boil the noodles. I layer them in the pan/baking dish uncooked. I make sure that the sauce is quite liquid rather than thick and this softens the noodles as the lasagna cooks. On the down side this means that the meal needs to be in the oven longer at a slightly warmer (moderate to hot oven)temperature but saves effort and the washing up of another pot. I use Aldi brand noodles and have never had a problem.
