Hi! I don't have a true "cellar" in my basement to store vegetables like potatoes, but I wish I did. I live in a colder climate (Minnesota) so our basement is cooler like about 62-65 degrees. I tried to store my potatoes in a bin in a cupboard down there, and a couple of them have already kinda rotted.
I can store them in the fridge, but then if I buy a big bag, I run out of room, and don't have an extra fridge.
Any ideas how else I can store my potatoes so they will last? Sorry, this isn't a direct "Freezer cooking" question, but you can bet those spuds go into the meals that go into the freezer!
Thanks!
Holly
